Making Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
In the Five First Saturdays Devotion
“Look, My daughter, at My Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce Me at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Do you, at least, try to console Me and announce in My name that I promise to assist at the moment of death, with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep Me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention ocenter f making reparation to Me.”

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTION

"Behold this Heart which has so loved men!'as to spare Itself nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, to testify to them Its love, and in return I receive nothing but ingratitude from the greater part of men by the contempt, irreverence, sacrileges, and coldness which they have for Me in this Sacrament of My love.” (Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque)

Our Lady of Sorrows

Pray with our Mother on this solemn, Paschal Triduum, and in fact can be done every day in comforting her in her sorrows.

The Easter Paschal Tide

The fifty days from Easter Sunday to Pentecost are called by the older liturgists "Quinquagesima paschalis" or "Quin. laetitiae"

It's a time of uniterrupted joy and feasts, during which we celebrate the mystries of Jesus Christ in the Ressurection , his Ascension into Heaven , and finally culminates with the celebration of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Ghost on the Apostles and the Blessed Mother!

The Te Deum and Gloria are recited every day even in the ferial Office. On Sundays the "Asperges" is replaced by the "Vidi Aquam" which recalls the solemn baptism of Easter eve. There is no feast day from Easter until Ascension.

Prayers are said standing, not kneeling. Instead of the "Angelus" the "Regina Caeli" is recited.

At Mass the Alleluia is added to the Introit, Offertory and Communion; in place of the Gradual two Alleluias are sung followed by two verses, each with an Alleluia; there is also a special Preface for Paschal Time.

In canon law

Paschal Tide is the period during which every member of the faithful who has attained the year of discretion is bound by the positive law of the Church to receive Holy Communion (Easter duty). During the early Middle Ages from the time of the Synod of Agde (508), it was customary to receive Holy Communion at least three times a year — Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost.

the precept of the Fourth Lateran to confess to the parish priest fell into disuse and permission was given to confess anywhere, the precept of receiving Easter Communion in the parish church is still in force where there are canonically-erected parishes. Resurrexit Sicut Dixit Alleluia

Is a Reverent Novus Ordo Just as Good?

Bishop Bernard Tissier de Mallerais, in his biography of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre,
provides a helpful summary of the Short Critical Study, as it is often called

“(1) By suppressing the prayers of the Offertory and the prayers to the Holy
Trinity, the propitiatory end of the Mass is passed over in silence. (2) The subtle
changes to the words of consecration suggest a simple narration of what Jesus
did at the Last Supper and not the actual change of the bread and wine into the
Body and Blood of Christ by the action of the priest. They remove the emphasis
on the actions of the priest to highlight the idea of commemoration in which the
‘priesthood of the people’ comes into play. (3) The suppression of numerous signs
of the cross, bows, genuflections, the purifications and care taken with regard to
particles of the host, etc. suggest that the presence of Christ in the Eucharist is
only real when it is received (in Communion) or that it is only spiritual. (4)
Finally, the suppression of the ‘personal’ prayers of the priest along with the
other changes dilutes the hierarchical priesthood and the ministry of the priest,
who no longer appears to be alone capable of consecrating and offering the Body
and Blood of the Redeemer ‘in the person of Christ the Priest.’”[3]
